Finally, it has arrived at the heart of KL – Putien, the one Michelin star Chinese restaurant. I had my hopes high the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The dynamic duo was there for lunch so we did not try a wide variety of the dishes but what we did try were all their signature dishes and were all par excellence. The service was pleasant, fast and efficient, with well-trained staff. The first dish we tried was “siong tong yin choy with ham tan” which means spinach in superior broth, salted egg and century egg. I have never had this dish in this combination before but it was a wonderful and amazing combination of tastes, every spoonful of broth and salted egg had just the right amount of rich flavor but without the salted egg being too over-powering.
