Breakfast Thieves APW @ Bangsar

Amidst hidden paths of greenery stood a solitary wooden cabin, made from wooden beams, glass and heat-resistant padded roof. But no, this is not the beginning of a novel. Folks, welcome to the Breakfast Thieves APW, one of the two buildings nestled inside the compound of an old printing factory in Bangsar, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were there around lunchtime and the Breakfast Thieves inner “cabin” was already packed so we had seats at the wooden porch. The ceiling fan was built low and cool airy wind could easily reach everyone. Menu at the Breakfast Thieves is truly fusion from Western to Asian and even Japanese with a breakfast udon served with dashi broth. There were also some interesting dishes with unusual combinations like the braised ox-cheek chunks in chili & lemongrass. What should we be thankful for?

The seemingly unsurmountable obstacles in life? The curve ball life hands to us sometimes? The many trials and tribulations in life? The many blessings and joys of being alive? Should we be grateful for the lessons that we were meant to learnt The life changing choices we were meant to make The loving people that came to our aide And the revelations that come upon us Close to 40 years of living Have you sometimes felt empty in the midst of your merriment Trying too hard to have a happy time all the time The cycles of frivolous activities and enjoyment that exposes the emptiness within Stay calm be still and listen Listen to voice within whispering to you The spirit the divine creator gave us Follow it for the fulfillment of your heart and soul Because whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him Collosians 3:17 For it by grace you have been saved, through faith
